Internet Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2
July 8th, 2024 by Kristen
  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You typically lay a bet ($1 is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like this are extremely appealing, they are also particularly difficult to win. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, think about this- you play 20 hands and make the side wager each time. That’s $20 you could have used towards the real game wager instead of a sucker bet. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds utilizing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has only one. This takes the complete casino edge from 2percent with one zero wheel to a huge 5% in American. The single number bet has only a 1 in 38 chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much smaller house advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that was not a error. Due to the large amount of numbers you must select, it’s not advisable to wager on Keno very much. A number of times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you’ll quickly find yourself beaten.
