Web Casino Sucker Wagers — Part Two

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker often have one of these. You generally place a wager (a dollar is the usual value) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although huge jackpots like these are very tempting, they are also particularly difficult to win. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager 20 hands and place the side wager every time. That is 20 dollars you could have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker bet. Picture what you might have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This takes the overall house edge from 2percent with a single zero wheel to a huge 5.26percent in American. The individual number wager has just a one in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much lower house advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that is not a typo. Due to the huge set of numbers you must select, it’s not advisable to gamble on Keno very much. A few times for fun, maybe. But do not waste all your cash on it or you’ll immediately find yourself broke.
